An Uplifting Evening With Wish: adidas and wish partner for a special women's history month event

International Women's Month, also known as Women's History Month, is a time to celebrate and honor the contributions that women have made throughout history and to recognize the ongoing struggle for gender equality.

It is an important time to celebrate and honor the contributions of women throughout history, to raise awareness of the ongoing struggle for gender equality, and to inspire future generations to continue the fight for equal rights and opportunities for women.

We've partnered with adidas to make a positive impact amongst the future generations of our community by creating a valuable moment at Madame CJ Walker's Boutique Museum and giving women entrepreneurs their well deserved flowers. We also had the opportunity to contribute to the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation - A foundation that empowers, serves, and affirms Black boys on the journey towards mental wellness.

We are grateful to have had Founder and mother of Ahmaud Arbery, Wanda Cooper Jones in attendance. Her activism has led to the passing of Georgia’s hate crime legislation in 2020 and the repeal of Georgia’s citizen’s arrest law in 2021. By spreading her anti-hate message around the world, Miss Wanda serves as an inspiration of what is possible – even when it is hard.

Alongside Miss Wanda, we were joined by other amazing business-women such as Visual Artist + Writer--Kelsey Marie, Model + Founder of The Tender Foundation--Jaycina Almond, Founder of Nourish Botanica--Quianah Upton, DJ, Doula, + Founder of Bae Worldwide--Desiree Decoteau, Haircut Specialist + CEO of Sirene Salon and Tinte Salon--Dyana Nematalla, Eyebrow Technician + Founder of Sky Brows--Skylar Barrett, Photographer + Videographer--Liv Hamilton, Founder of Trynab Studios--Leslie Tate, & Digital Creator--Madolyn Schultz.

We want to thank everyone that came out to our Women's History Month gathering and you can learn more about the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation on Ahmaudarberyfoundation.org.

On May 6, 2023, the Run with Maud 5K Run/Walk will celebrate the life of Ahmaud Arbery while raising funds for the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation. Maud was murdered while he was running in Brunswick, Georgia on February 23, 2020. He would have turned 29 on May 8.

Through sport we have the power to change lives. By working together, we can help inspire the next generation of female leaders and create a more equitable world for all.
