Raised in Halsey, Oregon, Tinker Hatfield is best known by his innovative designs, including the Air Jordan III through XV.
Pegged by Fortune as one of the 100 most influential designers of the twentieth century, Hatfield is also widely respected for being considered the inventor of the “cross-training” shoe, the Air Trainer and the Nike Safari print. Hatfield currently oversees “The Kitchen” on Nike’s main campus.
The Alpha 1 Tinker edition is slated for a February 15, 2010, release date and is retailing at Wish for $125.
