Last night the Jordan Brand event with Jason Mayden was an extreme success!  Presented by Wish and TheShoeGame.com, if you were in attendance you know there was no shortage of people and no shortage kicks in the building.  The night was DJ’d by Atlanta’s own DJ Greg Street, with a surprise DJ set from 9th Wonder.  Senior Jordan Brand designer, Jason Mayden and an entire Jordan crew was in attendance to discuss the brand’s history, as well as preview some of the 2011 styles and silhouettes we can expect.

Thanks to everyone who waited in line to check out the presentation and the shoes on display.  Many thanks to G-Roc from TheShoeGame.com for all the support and help promoting and planning the event!  Greg Street brought by a few samples from his personal collection and our good friend Joe came down from Tennessee with an extensive Jordan selection to display!

What a huge success!  The Wish Warehouse Sale 2k10, Vol #1 is officially over, but it was just the beginning for your shoe closets.  As you can see from the picture, the turn out was incredible.  Thank you to everyone who was willing to wait in the rain to get in the warehouse.  We hope that you were pleased with the selection and found what you were looking for!

Now on to the good stuff.  The event on the 25th was a huge success, with a great turn out.  Pusha T and Malice were super cool taking time to sign autographs, take pictures, and just chop it up with all of you guys for a solid hour and a half.  Around 300-350 people attended over the course of the night.  The open bar lasted about 45 minutes until the Atlanta PD unfortunately cut off the alcohol serving.  We apologize for that inconvenience and promise to have our ducks in order for the next event to avoid interruption.

Among the highlights of the night were a Wish x Play Cloths Ice Sculture and a raffle for two custom engraved Wish wood boxes (only 3 ever made).  Attendees could buy one ticket for $1, or seven tickets for $5 and all the proceeds went to support Atlanta flood victims and their families.  The winner’s received the custom wood boxes packed full of an autographed New Era, Play Cloths t-shirt, stickers,  few Wish x Play Cloths sharpies and some other swag.

All in all, a great night.  We’d like to thank Play Cloths and CLIPSE for swinging through and hanging out.  We’d also like to thank DJ Baby Yu  for keeping the music fresh.  And most importantly thanks to all you guys for coming out and making the event an extreme success.  As always, stay up on the Wish blog for more info regarding future events and colabs!

Continue reading ‘Wish x Play Cloths Event Recap – Limited Quantities Still Available!’

It is always a privilege to get some love from a well-known establishment like Complex Magazine.  As you probably remember, we had an event back in May with Supra and Terry Kennedy for a pre-release of the infamous TK Society.  The shoe is awesome and the event was real fun.

The latest issue of Complex with Keri Hilsong/Kid Cudi on the cover had a small feature on the TK Society release including a highlight of the Wish stop along the way (shown in the photo below).   During the event some really cool people came through including Stevie Williams, Ben Baller, and even Angel (Supra’s owner and founder).  Although it was a small spot, we’re incredibly greatful for any love that is shown especially when it is coming from our good friends like Supra and Complex.  Thanks guys.
