Well, we’ve had a busy past week up here at the shop.  Two weekends ago was the No Brakes and Mishka Bike Race event.  The Monday after Married to the MOB stopped by and threw a dope Pop-Up shop.  And then, needless to say, the Final Warehouse Sale this past weekend was just crazy.  We’ll be posting up pics from the last couple events through the day.

First up is the Mishka x Wish x No Brakes event pics.  The Bike race, which was sponsored by Pabst Blue Ribbon and a slew of other bicycle gear companies, was amazing.  It kicked off at No Brakes and took contestants through various stops throughout the city.  The goal was to complete all the objectives (such as chugging a beer) at each stop and make it to the end as soon as possible.  Margaritas were served at the Wish stop and the guys had a chance to kick it with the whole Wish staff and chop it up for a few minutes before hitting the road again.  In order to win the race, contestants had to choose from a select handful of designs and get it tattoed on them from either Ink & Dagger or Memorial Tattoo.  That’s intense.  Follow the jump for all the pics.

We’re definitely not holding any punches this time around.  The Final Wish Warehouse Sale is this weekend, Friday & Saturday, July 30th-July 31st.  Check out the flyer for all the details.  You can expect styles from Nike, Jordan, Adidas Originals, Vans, Clae, Android Homme, Reebok, ALIFE, Supra, Puma and much more!

Wait no more!  This July 30th and July 31st, We’ll be hosting our last and final Warehouse Sale in the storage space adjacent to our Moreland location.  The sales will be amazing as always, and the selection won’t dissapoint!  We’re also running a raffle for 1 of 15 spots in an exclusive Pre-Sale Event the night before the actual sale starts.  On the night of July 29th, we’ll have a small get together for 15 people to shop the selection early.  Here’s how to enter:

• From now until Tuesday, 27th you’ll be able to get ONE raffle ticket for every $50 (before tax) you spend at Wish (our regular store).
• On the night of the 27th we’ll draw 15 people and contact them for entry into a pre-sale to shop the sale selection early. You’ve gotta RSVP. If we don’t hear back from you by the 28th (Wednesday) after we have contacted you, we’ll move on to the next person.

We gave you a preview of the Wish x Mishka x No Brakes t-shirts the other day.  The latest part of the project is a navy and grey colorway snapback to compliment the tees and the custom fixed gear bike.  These caps will be available starting on July 24th and will be selling at Wish and No Brakes in extremely limited quantities.  Stay up on the blog for more info!

To say we’re excited about this project is a huge understatement.  We’ve teamed up with the best name in streetwear, New York based Mishka and locally owned and operated bike shop, No Brakes to put together a few tee’s, a snapback and a dope event for this hot summer.  Shown above are the two colors in the t-shirts that you can expect to see with the slogan, “ATL Get Pitted”, a nod to the gears of a fixie and the Peach State.  Additionally Wish and No Brakes worked on crafting a 1 of 1 custom designed Fixed Gear bike.  The tee’s and hats can be picked up at either location and the fixed gear will be on display at Wish.  For those of you that want to get your hands on a bike, you can place a custom order to have one made specifically for you through No Brakes!

___  WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW FOR THE EVENT ___

- An Alleycat Bike Race Will be taking place at 7:00PM on July 24th beginning at No Brakes Bike Shop and will end @ Wish.  It will involve multiple stops with a competition at each stop.  The challenges will range from kicking a fieldgoal to chugging a full beer.

Continue reading ‘Wish x Mishka NYC x No Brakes – “Get Pitted”’

“Wish has teamed up with Mishka NYC and Atlanta-based “No Brakes” bike shop to launch a custom fixed gear bike as well as a limited run t-shirt and hat.  The project centers around the slogan “ATL Get Pitted”, that gives nod to the Peach State and the iconic imagery that has chracterized the local fixed gear scene in the South.  Wish worked with Mishka NYC on a limited run of t-shirts and hats to compliment the custom fixed gear bike that will be releasing through No Brakes and Wish.

The release, which is slated for June 24th, will be capped off with a fixed gear race that is hosted by Pabst Blue Ribbon and run through various destinations of the city.

A series of videos and product shots will be released over the course of the next week giving you a better look into the project.  Stay Tuned!
