As we saw the Tinker Hatfield Alpha 1 a few weeks ago, Nike hits us with two additional releases set in the two classic colorways.  The University Blue Alpha one features a mix of white perforated leather and black, with an all clear sole reminiscent of many Jordan releases in the past.  The second installment features a Varsity red and perf white leather colorway that nods to the original Jordan 1.

Friendly Reminder, The Air Jordan Retro 2 Silver will be releasing tomorrow 2/27!  Retailing for $135… don’t sleep!

The year 2010 marks the 25th anniversary of the Jordan brand.  To commemorate their quarter-century milestone, Jordan is releasing a limited edition Silver Retro 1 complete with a collectors box.  The first of many releases throughout 2010 celebrating their legacy, the first offering features a commemorative 23/25 logo on the tongue with a Jordan Jumpman branded onto the aluminum casing.  These release tomorrow, Saturday, 2/13, and wil be retailing for a very reasonable $140. Very similar to the “Fresh sing 85″ pair released a few weeks, ago, we preview the Spizike in Black/Varsity Red/Cement colorway.  One of the most respected silhouettes of all the hybrids, the cement flavoring is tailored along the lace tabs, and along the sole as well as along the heel in a black-on-black fashion.  Hints of Varsity Red are tastefully implemented throughout.

Raised in Halsey, Oregon, Tinker Hatfield is best known by his innovative designs, including the Air Jordan III through XV.

Pegged by Fortune as one of the 100 most influential designers of the twentieth century, Hatfield is also widely respected for being considered the inventor of the “cross-training” shoe, the Air Trainer and the Nike Safari print.  Hatfield currently oversees “The Kitchen” on Nike’s main campus.

The Alpha 1 Tinker edition is slated for a February 15, 2010, release date and is retailing at Wish for $125.
